About the event
This will be our 2nd Annual International, Interfaith, Blessings for Hope hosted by We Are One SF.
This year, our theme is With Prayer Comes Action, Keep Hope Alive. The program starts with a blessing by clergy of the different faiths serving our communities, and continues with music and speeches on various topics that will help us reflect on our lives and our hopes for the future. A break-out session allows participants to share their views and aspirations for the coming new year. The program finishes with a Japanese style curry rice meal made by award-winning chef Rev. Rodney Yano.
One of the founding principles of We Are One is to bring communities together to foster one-on-one dialogue and understanding. We feel that this helps dispel harmful stereotypes that contribute to anti-AAPI and other hate crimes that plague our community.
